Project Beneficiaries

The project aims to support educational solutions to help reduce early school leaving.
In this area it is important to eliminate barriers to educational attainment, both as targets and perpetrators of bullying. Both groups may drop out of school as a consequence. Pupils have the right to enjoy school life and gain the knowledge and skills that will set them on the path to success. High levels of bullying in school have a devastating impact on the academic achievement and emotional wellbeing of both perpetrators and victims. A child who has been bullied at school is unlikely to look forward to going to school because they do not want to be humiliated in front of other children, and the perpetrator risks exclusion from school and later contact with the justice system. Early school leaving (ESL) has been identified as a key factor in social exclusion. The use of art as a tool against bullying will complement the methodological skills of teachers.

Training kit Art Against Bullying

The project responds to the needs of young people who bully (or are at risk of being bullied), young people who are bullied and their parents and teachers. An educational toolkit, a teacher training course and a resource kit containing case studies - good practice, helpful advice and guidance - will support teachers to recognise and prevent bullying attitudes. .
